The Chester Beatty Library is a unique museum in Ireland housing a collection of European, Middle
Eastern, Asian/East Asian rare books, manuscripts, religious materials and decorative arts. The Library
has established an active intercultural exhibition and learning programme with communities
represented in the collections: European, Islamic, Asian and East Asian. The Library has a core staff of
35 and is funded by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. The Chester Beatty Library
specialises in the following:

- Museum intercultural learning and dialogue
- Lifelong learning
- Engagement with diverse communities
- Working with volunteers
- Use of Generic Learning Outcomes in delivery of workshops for children, teens and adults
- Active member and project coordinator of Education Museum Exchange programme for the Asia
Europe Museum Network (ASEMUS) which comes under the Asia Europe Foundation (ASEF) - Design and delivery of projects with the Inclusion and Diversity Services of Northern Ireland 2012-todate.
These include lesson plans based on diverse collections from the Chester Beatty Library and
Ulster Museum of Northern Ireland for primary and post-primary schools - Lead partner and coordinator in the Anna Lindh Foundation Irish Network Common Action seminar,
